Rajgad Fort Cleanliness Drive
AISSMS College of Engineering organised a one-day Rajgad Fort Cleanliness Drive on 20 February 2025, from 6 AM to 8 PM, to promote environmental sustainability and heritage preservation. Ved Khiarnar and Gaurav Ghanavat represented the NSS Unit of I²IT. Volunteers cleaned key historic locations, including Padmavati Mata Mandir, Suvela Machi, Balekilla and Sanjivani Machi, showing dedication, teamwork and physical endurance. All volunteers took a pledge to protect and preserve forts for future generations. A highlight was the interaction with Nana Shejawal, NSS District Coordinator and Nodal Officer, SPPU, who shared insights on leadership, social service and the role of youth in community development, motivating the participants to continue their efforts in heritage conservation and societal betterment. The drive successfully instilled a sense of responsibility among volunteers and underlined the crucial role of young people in safeguarding India’s rich historical legacy for future generations. A memorable lesson in heritage and service.
