The Candidates seeking admission to the First Year and Direct Second Year Engineering Professional Degree Course (B. E.) are required to register their candidature on the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra web portal. The below steps are MANDATORY as per rules published by the “Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2017 for and further notification dated April 24, 2017.

SEAT ALLOCATION:

  1. CAP Seats – 80% seats will be allotted by the Directorate of Technical Education through the Central Admission Process.
  2. Institute Level Seats – 20% seats will be allotted by the Institute.
  3. Against CAP Seats – Seats remaining vacant after the completion of the CAP Rounds will be opened for allocation at Institute Level.

The distribution of Seats available for admission to Direct Second Year Engineering  shall be notified on the DTE website before submission of option form of Centralized Admission Process (CAP).

Five percent (5%) seats of the total seats for Maharashtra candidates coming under CAP per course shall be reserved for Children of ex- service personnel who are Domiciled in Maharashtra State (DEF-1), Children of active service personnel who are Domiciled in Maharashtra State (DEF-2), Children of active service personnel (DEF-3) who are transferred to Maharashtra State but are not domiciled in Maharashtra State, or who are not domiciled in Maharashtra State but their families are stationed in Maharashtra State under the provision of retention of family accommodation at the last duty station on grounds of children’s education provided further that, such candidate should have appeared and passed the HSC examination from a school/college situated in the State of Maharashtra.

  1. These seats are within the sanctioned intake and are available as State Level seats.
  2. A combined single merit list of all eligible DEF1, DEF2 and DEF3 candidates shall be prepared.
  3. Candidates claiming these seats shall produce additional documents in Proforma C, D and/or E as applicable.
  4. This provision is NOT available to the children of CIVILIAN STAFF who is working /who has worked in the Indian Defence Service.

Five percent (5%) seats of total seats for Maharashtra candidates per course coming under CAP shall be reserved for Candidates having any of the following minimum 40% benchmark disability.

A single merit list of all eligible candidates shall be prepared. The allotment of seats reserved for the Candidates with Disability shall be done on the basis of an inter- se merit. These seats are available for Maharashtra domiciled candidates in HU / SL seats.

The candidates claiming reservation under this category shall submit the certificates from the authority competent for issuing such certificate.The certificate (Pro-forma) should clearly state that the extent of disability is not less than 40% (Forty percent) and the disability is permanent in nature.

Note:

Candidates with Disability should note that on admission to degree course they will not be given any exemptions or additional facility in the academic activities other than those which may be provided by the respective Universities.

As per the provisions in Government Resolution No. राआधो -4019/प्र.क्र.31/16-अ, dated 12th February, 2019 and सामान्य प्रशासन विभाग, शासननिर्णय क्र. राआधो/4019 प्र.क्र.31/16 अ, dated 31.05.2021, 10% seats shall be reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates. These seats shall be filled by the Competent Authority through CAP as per the policies of the Government declared from time to time. These 10% seats shall be over & above the sanctioned intake for the respective course.

One percent (1%) seats of CAP Seats (excluding Minority institutions, All India Seats, if any) shall be reserved for Orphan Candidates. These seats shall be filled by the Competent Authority through CAP as per Government Resolution, Women and Child Welfare Department, No. AMJ- 2011/C.R. 212 / Desk 3 dated 2nd April 2018 and the policies of the Government declared from time to time.

As per the provisions in Government Resolution No. GEC-1000/ (123/2000)/ Tech. Edu.-1, dated 17th April, 2000, 30% seats shall be reserved for female candidates. There shall be no reservation for Female candidates under Defence, Persons with Disability and Orphan categories.

ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR ENGINEERING:

The candidate,-

    1. should be a citizen of India;
    2. should have Passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or
      Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker
      Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and The Candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in PCM MHT-CET 2024
      and obtained non zero score in PCM MHT-CET 2024 conducted by the Competent Authority;
      (There candidates are eligible to apply for all 29 major disciplines declared by AICTE)

OR

    1. Should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship as one of the subject and obtained at least forty five per cent marks (at least forty per cent marks, in case of Reserved categories,

The candidate,-

  2. should have passed minimum three years or two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least forty five per cent. marks ( at least forty per cent. marks in case of Candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or Central Government or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent;

OR

  1. should have passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least forty five per cent. marks ( at least forty per cent. marks in case of candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) and passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject;

OR

  1.  should have passed three years D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector; and

Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least forty five per cent. marks ( at least forty per cent. marks in case of candidates of Reserved categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) and passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as a subject;

OR

  1.  should have passed three years D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector; and
  2. Any other eligibility criteria and requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.
