Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti

On 14 November 2025, I2IT celebrated Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti in the A5 classroom of the college with great enthusiasm and respect. Around 35 students and staff gathered to honour the legendary tribal freedom fighter and his contribution to India’s freedom movement. The event was coordinated by Dr. Mahesh Waghmare (SDO, I2IT, Pune) and Dr. Sandeep Varpe, NSS Coordinator and CEO, I2IT. The programme began with a brief introduction to Birsa Munda’s life, followed by speeches and poems presented by students that highlighted his role in the freedom struggle and his efforts toward social reform. Faculty members then shared their insights on his legacy and on the importance of remembering his sacrifices. The classroom setting allowed students and faculty to interact closely throughout the programme. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks appreciating the active participation of students and staff, who made the programme a respectful and memorable tribute.
