Project Exhibition and Competition

The Project Exhibition and Competition, organized by the IT Department at I²IT, Pune under the CEP initiative, showcased 147 student projects addressing societal, environmental, and technological challenges. BYTEBATTLES 2025 – CODING CONTEST

The ACM Student Chapter at I²IT Pune organized ByteBattles 2025, a college-wide coding contest, on September 9, 2025, from 2:00–3:00 PM in Computer Centre rooms 213, 214, 223, and 225. Expert Lecture on “Unlocking Creativity with Gen-AI”

“Unlocking Creativity with GEN AI” was held on Sept 15, 2025, at the Convention Centre with I²IT’s IIC, ITSA, and ACM, featuring Mr. Nilesh Kadam on Generative AI’s role in innovation. Visit to Matruseva Sevabhavi Sanstha (Old Age Home), Akurdi Pune

On 18th March, a team from Internationa Institute of Information Technology, IT department visited Matruseva Sevabhavi Sanstha, an NGO dedicated to providing residential care for senior citizens, particularly those who are bedridden or lack family support. Under the Bombay Public Trust Act, Matruseva Sevabhavi Sanstha is a non-governmental trust focused on health and family welfare, with a special emphasis on nutrition and care for the elderly. National Heritage Fort Conservation and Cleanliness Drive at Shivneri Fort

On 28th February 2025, the Information Technology Student Association (ITSA), I²IT Pune, conducted a National Heritage Fort Conservation and Cleanliness Drive at Shivneri Fort on the occasion of National Science Day. Startup Surge 2024 was organized at Hope Foundation’s International Institute of Information Technology, Pune, on 13th April 2024. Twenty-seven teams presented innovative startup ideas through multiple evaluation rounds and investor pitching sessions. Video making competition – Topic: Green and Unconventional Energy

During the second semester of the academic year 2023-24, TE students were offered the Audit course titled ” Green and Unconventional Energy”. Breast Cancer Awareness Program

The Chief Guests of the program are the health workers. They spread awareness about Breast Cancer and Mammography since 2002. They meet our volunteers and share precious knowledge with them. An online Painting Competition was organized by the ITSA. This competition was open to all students. The alumni interaction was conducted for BE students for the preparation of placements. Recent alumni Shrikant, Ajinkya and Suraj interacted with students. The webinar was organized on 8th October 2021 and featured Mr. Prashant R. Nair, ACM Eminent Speaker and Associate Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Coimbatore. He explained how individuals and teams can prepare for programming contests, sharing strategies on team formation, contest selection, abstract submission, solution development, and excelling in online and onsite hackathons. C++ Crash Course

The C++ Crash Course was a three-day event held on 18th, 19th, and 20th August. During the course, topics covered included classes, objects, data encapsulation, data hiding, and private and public access specifiers. Participants also learned how to write C++ programs, function overloading, call by value and call by reference, passing and returning objects as parameters, and working with arrays of objects. Social event conducted on 27th November and 28th November 2020. The spread of Covid-19 has affected many lives across the globe. Advertwise

ADVERT-WISE was conducted on 30th July 2020. It was a two round competition between ACM members, total of 50 committee members participated in this event. Every team was given a maximum of 5 minutes to advertise their products in which every member of the team must have their contribution advertising the product. Click here for more details..

EVENTS CONDUCTED AY 2019-20

PROJECT COMPETITION (INGENIOUS):
Ingenious was the state level project competition. It was conducted on 14th June 2020. Because of the pandemic, the event was conducted totally online. We received huge response from all over Maharashtra from various colleges. It was judged by very experienced juries from renowned industries.

STACKED GET SET CODE:
The Covid-19 pandemic has hit the nation and affected all sectors. Education is also one of them. But the teaching-learning process is not that much affected due to knowledge imparting through online media. This event is also a way to keep students engaged logically, to make them think to provide solutions for different problems. So code club which is driven by students planned to conduct this coding contest to engage students and to make them think logically to provide solutions within 24 hrs for the different problems.

POSTER PRESENTATION:
Poster presentation was based on the theme Yoga and Smart City. It was conducted on 5th March 2020. Students prepared chart based on these topics and one winner from each group were awarded with prize.

Placement drive is conducted on 28th Jan 2020 for third year students to make aware about the actual placement drive. It was conducted by final year students. Aptitude and mock interviews were the part of the activity.

PRAYAAS:
Every year department of IT conducts two social activities. “Prayaas” is a prayas to motivate the Phase Pardhi students for education and to develop work culture amongst them. IT department student visited the school and educated them.

WORKSHOP ON WEB DEVELOPMENT:
Final Year students held the session for third year students to make them aware of web development concepts. The session covered topics included HTML, CSS, MySQL, PHP.

ACM DAY:
ACM DAY is our annual event to celebrate anniversary of our ACM student chapter. This year it was conducted on 20th September 2019. Eminent speakers like Neeran Karnik, Ajay Deshpande called for inauguration of the event. Ethical hacking workshop conducted by our Alumni Mr Ashish Dhone and it was of great success. We had also conducted coding completion and LAN gaming event the link below.on the same day.

QRIOUS:
Qrious is the intra college quizzical activity. It was conducted on 4th September 2019. Questions were based on technical and general knowledge. Five rounds were conducted among the groups and three teams awarded as winner from final round. It was total fun for all participants.

Final Year students held the session for second year students to make them aware of the Python Programing Language. The topics covered in the session were python decision making declarations, looping, list, dictionary, tuple, file and OOP.

WebMela

WebMela is the ACM State level competition for designing website. Students from different colleges have participated in the event. It was two round competition. Selected students of first round have to design website in the stipulated time period which was evaluated by the judges from industry.

ACM Day & Technotsav

ACM Day and Technotsav is the event organized by IT department on completion of one year of student chapter. On the occasion of the anniversary of ACM Student Chapter department have organized two workshops on Android App Development and Game Development. The workshop of Game Development was conducted by Mr Akshay Deshmukh from miTu Skillologies. He demonstrated the topic with the tool splendor. IAEERAP 2K18

An idea is the difference between a successful person and a struggling person. An idea is the light of motivation for those who are trying to make a difference. And also, an idea is the distinction between a creative mind and an ordinary mind.

To honour such ideas and to give a tangling platform for their future growth the Department of Information Technology of International Institute of Information Technology (I²IT) organized a national level project exhibition competition IAEERAP i.e. I²IT ACM Exhibition of Exclusive Research and Academic Projects The date was 26th March 2018 and the purpose was to showcase the country’s young talent. The event was conducted under the flag of The Association for Computing Machinery i.e. ACM Student Chapter of I²IT IT Department.

Participants from different colleges competed in the event to showcase their Project and claim the prize of the best. The projects were under the domain of Computer Science, Information Technology and Electronics & Telecommunication. The subdomains of the projects included Big Data, Cloud Computing, Data and Knowledge Engineering, Data mining, communication, IoT, Information Forensics and Security, Data mining, Industrial Engineering, Neural Networks and Learning System, Smart Grid.
