The Candidates seeking admission to the First Year and Direct Second Year Engineering Professional Degree Course (B. E.)are required to register their candidature on the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra web portal. The below steps are MADATORY as per rules published by the “Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2017 for and further notification dated April 24, 2017.

STEPS FOR REGISTRATION OF CANDIDATURE:

1. Online registration on DTE Web Portal
2. Documents verification, uploading and confirmation of Application Form for Admission
• By Maharashtra State/All India candidates in person at designated Facilitation Centre (List of Facilitation Centres available on DTE Web Portal
• J & K Migrant/NRI/PIO/OCI/CIWGC/FN candidates should send the print of online filled & confirmed application form & required documents by hand/speed post/courier for verification & confirmation to “The Principal , Sardar Patel College of Engineering (SPCE), Versova Road, Munshi Nagar, Andheri (West), Mumbai-400058”

SEAT ALLOCATION:

1. CAP Seats – 80% seats will be allotted by the Directorate of Technical Education through the Central Admission Process.
2. Institute Level Seats – 20% seats will be allotted by the Institute.
3. Against CAP Seats – Seats remaining vacant after the completion of the CAP Rounds will be opened for allocation at Institute Level.

ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR ENGINEERING:
A. Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate:
  1. The Candidate should be an Indian National.
  1. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and Obtained score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

OR

  1. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);

OR

  1. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC. and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;
B. All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates
  1. The Candidate should be an Indian National
  1. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and Obtained score in JEE Main Paper I or in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

OR

  1. Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only);

OR

  1. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by University Grants Commission and obtained at least 50 % marks(at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject;
C. Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National
  1. The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subjects taken together;
  1. Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority fromtime to time.
ADMISSION TO DIRECT SECOND YEAR ENGINEERING (Lateral Entry)
A. For Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate
  1. The Candidate should be an Indian National
  1. Passed Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) in appropriate branch of Engineering and Technology from an All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government approved Institution or its equivalent

OR

  1. Passed B.Sc. Degree from a University Grants Commission (UGC) or Association of Indian Universities recognized University with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed HSC with Mathematics as a subject Provided that students belonging to this category shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with second year subjects
  1. Any other criterion declared by appropriate authority from time to time

Method of calculating marks at qualifying examination for deciding eligibility.—
While deciding the eligibility of the Candidates following procedure shall be adopted,-

Explanation.—1:
If letter grades are assigned at SSC, HSC, Degree, Diploma or its equivalent examination the candidate must submit the certificate of conversion of letter grades into marks from the competent authority at the time of submission of application form. The eligibility shall be decided based on the basis of equivalent marks.

Explanation.—2:
The Grades or Marks are considered on the basis of which the Class of Degree is awarded by respective University or Board.

Explanation.—3:
The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to nearest integer.

Explanation.—4:
If the Candidate reappears for the qualifying examination with all subjects then the marks obtained in the latest examination shall only be considered.
