Date of campus Hackathon                                                                             :   20th Jan 2020 (Time: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM) 

The campus Hackathon will be conducted on 20th Jan. 2020 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM and students are expected to demonstrate implementation of their idea. We are inviting external industry experts to evaluate and shortlist the ideas, as only 5 ideas from Software Category and 2 ideas from Hardware Category need to be uploaded on Smart India Hackathon portal.

Students are encouraged to login and participate in the Cisco Devnet contest that not just offers cool prizes to be won but also prepares students for SIH-2020 Idea planning and participation in the Grand Finale. Cisco has some free tools for developing the idea into prototype and can be viewed at:

We are glad to inform that we will be organizing a one day workshop on “IPR, Patents and Research Proposals” on 25 January 2020 at our campus.
Distinguished speaker Prof Ganesh Hingmire,  will be visiting us to deliver keynote presentation on “Importance of IPR in Indian Perspective” . Later our fellow faculty team will showcase live demo of Patents, Copyrights processing, filing & publishing.

Brief Bio of the Speaker
• A renowned Intellectual Property (IP) Enthusiast and a winner of two Consecutive National Awards for “Best Facilitation of Registration of Geographical Indications and Promotion of Registered GI in India” given by the Ministry of Commerce, Gov. of India.
• Registered almost one tenth of India’s Geographical Indications. Registered 26 GI’s through voluntary initiative and support of World Bank and Department of Horticulture, Government of Maharashtra. These efforts placed Maharashtra at the zenith of registered agricultural GIs in India
• More than 15 years experience for teaching and consultancy
• Conducted various training programmes on IPR to Govt. Officials including Patent Examiners, Assistant Commissioners for Food & Drugs Administration at Yashada.
• Has good command on managing Intellectual Property Rights related works including registration, prosecution, search and research. 
The department of Information Technology is organizing a One Day Workshop On MS Excel for teaching and non-teaching staff on Tuesday, 21th January 2020 (Second Half). Registration is free. The resource person is from Global Talent Track.
All the participants will be given an e-certificate by Microsoft.
